Call For Nominations

2012 Salute to Women

YWCA Billings Salute to Women

Information for the 2012 Salute to Women is online NOW!

The selection of Salute to Women honorees begins with a call for nominations and you! Colleagues, friends and family members: we encourage you to recognize an outstanding woman in your life!

The Steps Are Easy!

1. Identify

A Salute Honoree is a woman who has:

  • Contributed significantly to her area of interest, her profession and/or her community.
  • Courage
  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Perseverance

The more specific and detailed the nomination, the better!  Try to answer the question "How is Billings a better place to live because of this person?"

2. Nominate

Use the PDF forms found on the left, or  they may also be obtained from the YWCA front office at 909 Wyoming Ave., Billings. A successful nomination will include the nomination form, completed by her nominator, and 3 additional letters of support.  Binders containing history or professional examples are discouraged.

Nominations from the previous two years may be reinstated simply by calling us at (406) 252-6303.  However, you should probably review past applications for accuracy.

3. Submit

Be sure to turn in all forms and letters at the YWCA Billings by FEBRUARY 15 AT 5p.m.  Salute Honorees are selected by a committee of community members independent  of the YWCA and major sponsors.  Honorees are chosen based on their achievements in the areas listed above.

4. Attend

The Salute to Women Awards banquet will be held on Thursday, April 19th, 2012, starting at 5:30 pm at the Crowne Plaza hotel.  Salute to Women is a benefit for the YWCA Billings.  Proceeds support our vital social service programs!
