YWCA Billings MT

Trained advocates answer this emergency, domestic violence hot-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Advocates are willing to listen and offer support and guidance to callers.  Advocates also provide referrals to other appropriate community resources.

Secure Emergency Shelter

The YWCA Gateway House is a secure emergency shelter for women and their children who are fleeing domestic violence.  The shelter is staffed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and is equipped with security cameras and an alarm system.  Residents are eligible for up to 12 weeks in the shelter and work closely with advocates during their stay.

Support Groups

Weekly support groups are offered at 909 Wyoming Ave.  Groups are open to community members and are free of charge.  Child Care is provided at no cost for mothers wishing to attend group. Emergency Legal Advocacy

Advocates are available to assist survivors in obtaining an Order of Protection from the courts.  Accompaniment survices to court hearings relating to domestic violence victimization and Order of Protection hearings are available upon request.

Information and Referral

Advocates can provide information about domestic violence and community resources over the phone or in person.  They are also able to make referrals to appropriate agencies for further assistance.

Advocates are available to do presentations in the community on various aspects of domestic and sexual violence and services available from our program.  Please contact us for more information if you are interested in scheduling a presentation.
