Supported Living for Adults with Disabilities

The YWCA Billings’ Supported Living Program is recognized as the only YWCA program of it’s kind! Currently we have 12 Supported Living Staff who dedicate their time and vision towards furthering participants independance in the community, and we’ve been doing it since 1975.

YWCA Billings Supported Living for Adults with Disabilities

Our participants:

  • Live in their own homes and apartments, while a few live with their families
  • Many have jobs in the community

Through this program, men and women are encouraged to reach their full potential as individuals, within the limits of their own goals and capabilities.

Activities we assist with:

  • Money management
  • Grocery shopping and meal planning
  • Cooking and cleaning
  • Medicine management
  • Making medical appointments
  • Managing their healthcare regimens
  • Legal and safety issues
  • Participation in leisure, recreational and social activities

By reducing isolation, adults with disabilities know they have connection to the community and a place where they have friends and advocates.

Referrals to the program are made by Case Managers of the Department of Public Health and Human Services
