Salute Honoree Spotlight: Gainan’s Flowers

Feb 19, 2021

Gainan’s Midtown Flowers and Garden Center demonstrate their commitment to the Billings community by supporting more than 60 non-profit organizations, including YWCA Billings.

From its humble beginnings in 1951, when founders Betty and Grant Gainan were the only employees, Gainan’s has blossomed to 60 employees with the majority of the workforce being women. Now owned and managed by Gainan family members Mick and Lynnette and their children Jim and Kristin, the family-owned and operated business continues to be a powerhouse in the Billings community for their successful mentoring and empowerment of women. Flexible work schedules have long been the way of life in the organization so employees can accommodate their children’s school schedules and other needs.

Gainan’s long-term, significant role in creating beautiful memories and graceful tributes is equally important. As President Jim Gainan says, “We are so fortunate, and thank our community of customers beyond measure for allowing us the opportunity to partner with them in all of the seasons of their lives”.

YWCA Billings recognizes Gainan’s for its enduring, positive impacts for women and our entire community. We celebrate the previous and present generations of Gainans – and those to come – for making a difference in so many meaningful and colorful ways!
